No images? Click here To our valued partners, For the past few months, the world has essentially been writing the pages of history. This global pandemic has caused unprecedented challenges in all our worlds – both from a business and personal perspective. I liken what we’ve experienced to a heavy thunderstorm that fell on us from clear sunny skies. There is sun on the horizon as we've entered level 3 lockdown this week however, the void of work over these last few weeks will certainly not be a short-term fix, but require a targeted long-term strategy that must be focused on with a collective social mind shift. I believe this forced slowdown has given Concord the opportunity to take a deeper look into what our customers real needs are and how we can adapt going forward in this new world. Ultimately, we are responsible for providing a solution that is forward-thinking, unconventional and industry leading. Concord has proudly been supporting essential services since the beginning of lockdown level 5. We’ve been fortunate enough to have completed work on wind farms, mines, petrochemical plants and ports to name a few. We have learnt an unbelievable amount. We are so grateful to our clients who have supported us and trusted us during the lockdown - THANK YOU. As a leader, it has been a privilege to observe our team embrace the hardships and lessons learned during this time and, apply a more forward-thinking approach in what they do; ensuring that our services demonstrate increased agility in these ever-changing and uncertain times. Our solution to clients now embodies enhanced perspective, simplicity, and innovation. Concord’s promise is to provide a customer experience that has been built on the foundation of extensive experience, knowledge and innovation. An experience that will be appreciated long term. We look forward to our continued partnership and thank you for your ongoing support and trust in us. Wishing you all health and safety, Marcus This pandemic has inevitably removed a little sun out of the sunshine, but we'd like to share some news with you that has kept our Concord sun shining. 70M LUFFER, 36M BOOMOur Richards Bay team built an impressive boom on our 440T crane, with a 70m luffer and 36m main boom. Our client says, "The decision to continue the emergency shut during the nationwide level 5 lockdown in April was a daunting task. This team was proficient in expertise and executed their responsibilities in a professional manner. The Concord team demonstrated relentless commitment to us during the lockdown. Thank for your exemplary service." CONCORD COMMITTED TO PLANT UPGRADE DURING LOCKDOWN We had a number of our cranes on site to assist our client during a shutdown. The job involved an upgrade of their plant in order to adhere to new environmental regulations which came into effect in April 2020. THERE'S A SAFE WAY TO DO EVERYTHING We are fully committed to maintaining and updating our OHSMS to ensure trust and safety in all that we do for our clients. This is just a reminder that we do have our ISO45001:2018 certification. This re-certification symbolises our commitment to own and operate a fleet of safe, compliant and reliable equipment. SUPPORTING THE PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY DURING LOCKDOWN Duty called our 330T crane to perform shutdown maintenance on site in KZN. When flexibility is a priority, our all-terrain cranes are the go-to. With powerful, long telescopic booms that can be easily extended to impressive heights, these cranes can fulfill almost any project requirements. 35T WORKING WITH A VIEW One of our rough terrain cranes enjoying the morning view whilst on site upgrading a water sanitation plant. This work was completed during lockdown level 4. Clean water is such a precious resource, and especially in our world today. We're very proud to be contributing to our environment which is fundamental to our survival. GETTING BACK ON TRACK During level 4 of lockdown, we were tasked with placing a derailed train back onto the railway track. Our Free State team worked efficiently and lifted and placed the 60T train safely and successfully back on track within an hour. EXPANDING OUR FOOTPRINT The Alistair Group and Concord (Bud Rental Services) partnership aims to provide a collaborative approach in CONCORD NAMIBIA Concord Namibia proudly arrives in Luderitz with a range of equipment, from trucks and trailers to forklifts and cranes. Our footprint covers both ends of Namibia’s busiest corridor. We have the ability to link the North with the South and the East with the West; reaching beyond all our branches to provide a solution, anywhere in Namibia. Proudly ISO45001:2018 certified. ACHIEVING RENEWABLE ENERGY GOALS Concord Cranes is very proud to be involved in the development of many wind farms around the country. During the lockdown, we've been working on wind farms across the Eastern Cape and Western Cape. Our 440T, 550T, 750T cranes and 54m extendable trailers have been busy at work replacing wind turbine blades, assisting with gearbox exchanges and transporting abnormal loads across the country. This has certainly not been easy and the team worked extremely hard to ensure we received the correct permits before mobilising our cranes to where they needed to be. HERE’S A SNEAK PEEK INTO OUR WORLD WHEN SERVICING THE RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR: Now more than ever, renewable energy needs to be part of our collective future. Concord Cranes is proud to be involved in a global renewable energy movement – something that is so meaningful in our world today. Such a time has emphasized the need to invest in things that strengthen the health of our citizens, and reduce our economic vulnerability. Before those gentle giants spin powerfully in the wind, there is a significant amount of preparation, planning and logistics that need to be executed. Partner with Concord and let's be part of creating a better future, together. Whether its transporting abnormally sized wind turbine blades, prepopulating and erecting tower sections or servicing turbine gearboxes, we have the resources, team and experience to service the renewable energy sector. WHAT DOES FIGHTING THIS PANDEMIC MEAN TO OUR TEAM? And our Richards Bay branch manager, Bella Mollentze responds with how she feels about fighting this pandemic with the Concord team: “The response to this worldwide pandemic is camaraderie in its truest form. It is not just me or our Concord team that are fighting this pandemic, but the whole world. Everyone is focused on one goal – to fight a pandemic. Whether it’s providing essential services, supporting essential services or staying at home and washing your hands, we’re all partaking in the fight. This is history being written. The pride and commitment within our Concord team is overwhelmingly evident and we’re grateful to be out there delivering support to essential service providers. I could not be prouder to be a soldier in the Concord army. We are walking this walk, together." |
