ANNUAL SABIE GS CHALLENGEA BMW Customer Event... Hosted by Sabie Valley Rider Academy (a Certified BMW Partner & Training Facility) the GS Challenge is the longest-running and BEST riding BMW GS event in South Africa. The Annual Sabie GS Challenge will take place at Misty Mountain, situated on the Long Tom Pass between the towns of Sabie & Lydenburg in Mpumalanga. For the weekend of motorcycling, we request that participants arrive on their BMW GS motorcycles carrying all their
overnight and /or camping gear. Riders of all skill levels can explore some of the Lowveld's best off-road routes through the pristine forests and scenic landscapes that this region has to offer. Routes graded for novice (green), intermediate (red) and experienced riders (black) to enjoy. There are also skills challenges open to anybody who wants to participate in them. This is a BMW Customer Event and only road legal BMW Adventure Motorcycles will be allowed to participate. SATURDAY ROUTES...- GREEN
ROUTE...An easy going route to enjoy the scenery and lots of photo ops, NEW this year will be that this route will be guided and assisted, especially to the participant that is ‘NEW’ to the event or to gravel riding or a novice rider.
- RED ROUTE...For the more experience rider looking for a challenge, expect some technical sections
- BLACK ROUTE...This will branch off the Red Route; it is being designed by 'Technical Thomas' so except the worst! His
dastardly eye will seek out some really technical terrain for you to test your skills and your GS capabilities. ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED RIDERS WHO HAVE DONE SOME ADVANCED TRAINING. Knobbly tyre are a prerequisite for this route.

- By Paying you agree - The Participant takes part in a Fun Ride (THE FUN RIDE IS NOT A RACE) entirely at his/her own risk and the organisers, its members, employees, contractors or agents are not liable for any damage suffered by the participant or his/her dependents or pillion due to death or injury to property or person, sustained during or from whatsoever other cause arising during the Fun Ride. The Participant & Pillion hereby indemnify the organisers, its members, employees, contractors or agents against any claims.
- The Participants & Pillions to have their own insurance for their motorcycle, property & medical
- The land we will be riding on is PRIVATE and participants will only have access to the routes during the specifies times during the event
- DO NOT share the GPS routes with non participants
- Right of admission is reserved. The organisers reserve the right to to ask any person or persons indulging in offensive, unsafe or unacceptable behaviour to leave the event. NO refunds will be considered in such a case
· Shoes4Souls· will be at the SABIE GS CHALLENGE 2020 so bring your new and / or old shoes in any condition for this cause... They repair shoes for distribution to the poor and use shoes to teach people how to repair shoes.
